In a world where hidden dangers are constantly threatening our health, CheckED is a beacon of protection. This innovative web app goes beyond traditional health trackers to focus on a silent threat: endocrine disruptors. These hormone cheats lurk in everyday products, silently increasing the risk of lifestyle diseases such as obesity, infertility and cancer.

The CheckED web app, born from experience gained in the INTERREG NonHazCity-2, was developed in the NonHazCity-3 and LIFEChemBee European projects which aim to reduce people’s exposure to hazardous substances.

With just a few taps, CheckED estimates your individual exposure to these harmful substances, empowering you to take control of your health and protect your loved ones and the environment.  Developed by a team of dedicated scientists, including a biotechnologist, chemical analyst, and clinical dietician, the web app harnesses the power of scientific databases and advanced algorithms based on published research.

How does it work? It’s quite simple. First, you make a quick map of your home. Then you answer questions about your consumption habits, your lifestyle, the materials of the objects you have in your home, the materials used to build or renovate your home. At the end, you will receive an exposure index that gives you a starting point to see how the changes you can make on a daily basis can help reduce this exposure. You can take the test as many times as you like and keep improving your score! The less exposure you have, the better for your health… and the more you can share all the good easy cheap tips you’re using in your daily life with your friends and family.

With contributions from partners across the EU and beyond, CheckED brings together communities united in the pursuit of a healthier future. Using scientifically proven data curated by researchers from leading medical universities, CheckED provides personalised recommendations tailored to your individual needs.

So why wait? Start your journey to a healthier new day with CheckED today. Not only will you protect your health, but you’ll also play a vital role in protecting our environment for generations to come. Join us and “bee the change” you want to see in the world.
